Amy Wolohan (she/her)
Project Coordinator & Co-founder and Chair of the Parents & Carers Network

What's been your career so far?

I started in Vodafone at 18 as a customer service advisor, stayed operational most of my career moving into HR working within Group Learning almost 3 years ago and am also an Accredited Coach.

What made you want to be a part of the Parent and Carers Network?

I am co-founder of the network. Started with my launch of the parents and carers roadshows in 2018. As a Mum and Carer, I am passionate about improving things for others with caring responsibilities.

Tell us an interesting fact about you:

I am a bit of an adrenalin junky and in 2024 I finally fulfilled a life long dream and went Wing Walking. I also plan to become a Bee keeper when I retire (I love Bees).

How many languages do you speak?

Sadly only one (I lam learning BSL though).

How many countries have you visited? (Which is your favorite?)

So many... I love to travel. My favourite by far is New Zealand where I spent my honeymoon. We travelled around the North island in a Motorhome.

How do you switch off after work? Or how do you manage your wellbeing?

My family and friends are my world! I walk my dog and spend a lot of time being taxi to my children for their sports activities but I really do love watching them grow in training.

Do you have any book/film/TV recommendations?

I don't watch much TV and when I do its documentaries but I love a good book. I love 'She thinks like a boss' and 'All grown up' which is about the changing relationships with our grown up children.

What are you most looking forward to over the next year?

Seeing my best friend finally walk down the aisle - and more for me, finding my next role at Vodafone.

Why do you feel that Vodafone is a Great Place to Work?

Vodafone truly cares about diversity - it isn't a buzz word. You can bring your whole self to work and there is a real sense of community and belonging.

We're committed to creating a workplace where everyone can belong.
