Senior Global Strategic Account Manager at Vodafone IoTWhen I applied for my internship programme at Vodafone Spain more than a decade ago, I hoped to get my foot in the door and gain experience in a global company. I never imagined it would turn into the career adventure it has been!
After, I joined as a Graduate and developed a deep understanding of customer needs and perspectives through roles in the consumer area across Customer Care and Go-to-Market operations. It was very exciting to be part of launches like HBO and Formula 1, and I really honed my skills in process optimisation, cross-functional collaboration, and customer obsession.
Then I had the opportunity through the Columbus International Talent Program to transition from Consumer to the Enterprise world - and what was supposed to be a two-year assignment abroad, dipping into the unknown, turned into forever. I still live and work here in the UK today.
Moving, progressing, learning
I embraced the global stage when I transitioned to IoT Vodafone Business. I first joined the IoT Professional Services team, a niche corner of the business where I wore many hats. It gave me a front row seat to customer pain points and how a consultative approach can really make a difference.
After that, I went on to drive and lead high-value, complex IoT and MPN deals as a Strategic Deal Manager and was able to grow a team of my own in this space. One of the most exciting parts of leading on large and complex deals has been getting into the art of deal shaping: learning to understand the customer´s world, connecting the dots, and crafting offers that win business. I have had the pleasure of working with and for customers like Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, Stellantis, and a long etc of diverse and inspiring customers. There is something incredibly rewarding about turning a complex puzzle into something that works and wins through an all-hands-on-deck kind of team. For me there is something magical about being able to identify and develop skills and expertise within a set of varied colleagues and to really draw their best self for them to shine, and to collectively make things happen.
I have spent the last year working in Vodafone Carrier Services, with our Networks teams, who alongside Vodafone IoT, make IoT possible by designing and maintaining infrastructures that support millions of interconnected devices reliably and securely across the globe. Operating in this space has given me a deep appreciation for the scale and criticality of large-scale connectivity infrastructure—where even the smallest disruption can have a massive ripple effect. It’s a world of immense volume and technical complexity, where resilience, precision in architecture, and operational excellence are non-negotiable. Being embedded in this environment taught me the power of invisible infrastructure—and how the most high-impact work often happens behind the scenes.
Most recently, I took on a senior commercial leadership role within Vodafone IoT, focused on the Automotive space—an ecosystem I’m incredibly excited to help shape. Automotive is not only one of the world’s largest and most influential industries, but also one that is undergoing rapid reinvention—spanning everything from electrification and autonomy to the reinvention of the in-car experience. IoT sits right at the heart of this transformation, powering innovations in connectivity, navigation, telematics, and digital entertainment. In this role, I partner directly with global customers to unlock commercial value, drive performance across strategic accounts, and contribute to how technology, IoT specifically, is redefining the way we experience and interact with vehicles.
Next?
Vodafone has been a whirlwind of very dynamic experiences for me, spanning multiple roles, countries, and business units. Gladly, change has been the only constant, and I’m proud to contribute to Vodafone’s global success.
One thing that has made a huge difference has been mentorship. I have been lucky to have great mentors at key moments, and those conversations, whether formal or just a quick check-in, have really helped me make better decisions and grow faster. I have also had the chance to mentor others, which has been just as rewarding. Mentorship is not always about big, structured conversations - although reflecting and prepping does help - but it is often the small, honest moments of guidance that stick with you. Having someone who listens, challenges your thinking, or just shares their experience can really shape your confidence and the direction you take in your career.
Another area that I feel incredibly passionate about is championing women in our organization. Through my involvement in Women in IoT and Women in Business at Vodafone, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to conversations, initiatives, and actions that promote greater representation of women in leadership roles. It’s important to me to actively take part in shaping a more inclusive future—not just by speaking about change, but by helping drive it from within. Creating space, visibility, and opportunities for women in our field is something I care deeply about, and I’m proud to be part of a network that supports and uplifts each other. So, if you want to see change, be part of it and drive it!
Looking ahead, I am excited to continue pushing boundaries, exploring new ideas, and solving meaningful problems, and working with teams that bring creativity and the right attitude to the table. It's exciting to be part of the Commercial side of IoT driving value through the opportunities we shape and the outcomes we deliver for our customers. As we continue to unlock the potential of technology, I look forward to bringing clarity to complexity, and driving smart, sustainable growth in areas that really matter, and to leading with purpose by empowering others to thrive too!
