Your Discover Trainee programme
Have you finished your Master’s degree or are almost there?
Great, then we have the perfect job for you. Discover different facets and divisions of Vodafone in our 18-24 month Discover Trainee programme. Choose the right focus. You determine your own stations for roughly three months and you take responsibility from the very beginning.

Choose your home base from the following business units
Technology or IT
Is your home base technology or IT? Then you will experience how our IT and network infrastructure works first-hand and from various perspectives. You will get to know the network architecture and identify potential optimisations both internally and externally. You will discover departments throughout the company that are involved in building Big Data solutions. You can experiment and contribute your ideas to the AR Garage, our 5G Lab or the IT Accelerator.
Consumer Sales
Consumer Sales is the heart of the company. We always focus on our customers and on the company’s success: whether in our sales channels, in multi-channel or omnichannel projects, at the interface to brand, base and product marketing or in IT.
Corporate Development and Strategy
In Corporate Development or Strategy, you will work on Vodafone’s competitiveness every day. We develop, evaluate and manage strategic, interdisciplinary projects. We negotiate cooperation opportunities with external partners.
We monitor the capital market and our competitors. We support M&A processes with professional finance expertise. We prepare important strategic decisions as part of our Strategy Board. In the process, we safeguard Vodafone’s future growth.
Customer Experience and Operations
With your home base in Customer Operations, you will shape our future service for our customers. What can you look forward to? Service design, service innovation, customer-centricity, agile working and much more. What sets you apart: You like to see things from your customer’s perspective. You are dedicated and enthusiastic about innovation. You are empathetic, communicative and interested in strategic issues.
eCommerce
Every day we work on simple and innovative solutions for our customers at all digital touchpoints such as the Vodafone online shop or our app. Our work ranges from Google or social media campaigns to the technical development of new features and user experience research in our own research lab: We provide the very best digital customer experience.
Finance
In the finance division, we find the right solutions for our internal and external clients in every business area. We support our management with making the right decisions and developing our business.
Examples of what we do: Turnover planning, performance analysis, calculating business cases for new products and services for business and private customers, cost controlling, accounting issues, purchasing management, auditing internal processes.
Strategic Marketing
We look at the market as a whole. With our innovative spirit and strong customer focus, we work to safeguard our long-term competitiveness.

HR
We are responsible for recruiting developing and promoting our employees. We utilise innovative HR systems and work with diverse international interfaces. You will discover all these facets of our daily HR work during your trainee programme with us.
External Affairs, PR and Corporate Communications
With your home base in External Affairs, you communicate with and to the media, multipliers and decision-makers. You advise and accompany the top management at external meetings. You create and are responsible for external communication covering strategically important topics. You support the implementation of the sustainability strategy.

You will have a highly skilled and experienced mentor at your side from day one. This will enable you to chart the best possible career path. A buddy from the trainee community will also support you with your daily challenges and questions.

Your diploma or the current overview of your grades
Your covering letter or alternatively a 60 to 90 seconds application video. Introduce yourself using a personal object. Simply upload the video to a popular video platform such as YouTube or Vimeo. Add the link and, optionally, the password to your CV.
First create a personal account. Then upload your documents. You will receive a confirmation by e-mail as soon as you have successfully applied.
Our HR department will review your application and then invite you to an online assessment. Heavy successfully passed the assessment? Then you have made it to the next round.
Experienced colleagues from the department you have applied for will review your application documents. They will which applicants they nominate for their next assessment centre.
You will receive an invitation to the virtual assessment centre. This is where we get to know you personally. Exciting tasks await you. At the end of the day, you will know whether we can make you an offer. Then you have time to decide.
Have you accepted our offer? Then you can start as a Discover Trainee on 1 February, 1 June or 1 October. Other trainees will start with you. Then you have a starter group at your side.
