Finding my passion at Vodafone

Ariadna Crespo
Reward and Organisational Effectiveness Specialist

When I first applied to Vodafone, I was in a bit of a transition. I had studied psychology, but I was becoming more and more interested in tech and data. Vodafone’s graduate programme seemed like the perfect way to explore that shift, and honestly, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made.

Belonging

From the very beginning, I felt like I was part of something special. The culture here is genuinely supportive, people are kind, collaborative, and always up for helping each other out. I’ve worked with a few different teams now, and that energy has been consistent across the board.

One of my favourite memories is from Fit25. Our team didn’t win, but we had so much fun trying new activities, hyping each other up, and just enjoying the challenge together. It was such a great reminder that belonging isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up, having fun, and feeling like you’re part of something bigger.

Balance

One thing I really appreciate about Vodafone is how seriously we take flexibility. It’s not just a nice idea, it’s something we actually live. Whether it’s generous leave policies or the option to buy extra holidays, there’s a real effort to help us balance work and life in a way that works for us.

I’m actually heading to Nice this Friday to work remotely for a week and a half. And yes, I’ll be answering emails, but I’ll be doing it with a sea view. That kind of support makes a huge difference in how I show up at work.

Growth: “I’ve always felt encouraged to explore and grow.”

One of the things I love most about working here is how much room there is to grow. If you’re curious about something or want to try something new, people will back you. I’ve always felt encouraged to explore different areas, take on new challenges, and believe in my own potential.

I’ve also been lucky to have an amazing mentor—Sandra—who’s made a huge impact on me. She’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, but also incredibly focused and honest. She listens, supports, and always helps me see the bigger picture. I’ve learned so much from her, both professionally and personally.

Adaptability: “You don’t know until you try.”

Working in HR and Reward means things move fast, and staying adaptable is key. For me, it’s all about staying curious and open. I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical about Copilot at first. But one day I used it to help with an Excel formula, and now I can’t imagine working without it!

That’s the thing about Vodafone, we’re encouraged to experiment, to try new tools, and to keep learning. And that mindset really helps you stay ahead.

Looking Ahead: “There’s always something new to discover.”

Looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. And looking ahead, I’m excited—because there’s still so much to learn and explore. Vodafone is a place where you’re supported, challenged, and inspired. Whether it’s through new projects, amazing colleagues, or just the everyday encouragement to be yourself, I know I’m in the right place to keep growing.

What if we can be the best, together?
