Our Level 6 IT Consultant Apprenticeship is designed to give you the skills and knowledge required to be an interpreter between the business and IT worlds, bridging the gap of understanding between business and technology teams. You’ll get experience across:
- Technology Strategy & Architecture
- IT Operations
- Cloud & Virtualisation
- Software Teams
- Network Teams
Things you could work on
- Provide strategic and technical solutions to clients using business analysis, solutions development, network infrastructure, data and cybersecurity.
- Understand how to utilise technologies and consultancy skills to clearly identify client requirements to meet their business objectives, overcome problems and increase productivity.
- Facilitate changing business processes, improved structure, and efficiency through enhancements to digital and technology solutions. They design, build and install innovative customer experiences using the latest cutting-edge technologies to win business for their organisation. Supporting hybrid cloud setups, configuring VPNs, and managing connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).
Throughout your Apprenticeship it will challenge you, inspire you, and help you grow. Bring your passion and ideas to a team that’s shaping the future of global connectivity.
Your Qualification
Qualification: You’ll work towards a Level 6 BSc in Digital and Technology Solutions on the IT Consultant Pathway and you’ll have 1 study day per week to focus on your qualification.
Duration: Typically 36-months, with additional time to prepare for your End-Point Assessment
Course Delivery : Remote, with occasional off-site sessions
Content: You’ll develop skills on:
- How to analyse, optimise, and recommend improvements to IT Operations and systems for enhanced performance and efficiency.
- The principles of designing successful digital and technology solutions, including the integration of appropriate security tools and protocols in line with organisational requirements.

Interested in applying?
- There is no upper limit, but you must be at least 18 years old on or before 15 September 2026.
- GCSEs in English & Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent qualifications and 3 A Levels gained by August 2026 or equivalent qualifications.
- You must not currently be enrolled into full time education, and you must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject (e.g. a degree or masters in a similar subject).
- You must also have the correct right to work documentation in place for the full programme duration.
- Our Apprenticeships may close early if we receive a high number of applications, so we recommend applying as soon as you can.
- Assessment Centres for this programme will be held between January – March 2026.
