My Role
I am a Engineering manager in Digital Contact, which means I look after Applications that span across Contact centres, Retail and Digital. Making sure our Agents and customers have everything that they need.
My Previous Experience
I joined Vodafone in 2007 as agent working in returns taking calls to retain our customers from leaving us with 7-14 days. I then moved to a secondment for NewCo testing our CRM, to managing Data integrity and the migrations of our customers from Amdocs to Oracle.
What interested me in a career in Engineering
Having been an agent and spent several years helping our customer, I wanted to make a move to be behind the scenes to make a difference and try to help make things easier for our customers and agents.
How I found Vodafone
When I left college as a trained chef, sadly the recession hit, and I needed a job so I responded to an ad in the local newspaper for a role at Vodafone, and the rest is history!
The Future
I'm really looking to progressing into a further leadership role within and the future transformation we are working on.
My Advice
Just do it, take the risk it's worth it, there is so many supportive leaders in this company who help you every step of the way!
