Celebrating Layla Haynes: Championing Disability Inclusion at Vodafone

Layla's dedication to improving our working environment for people with disabilities is non-stop and, with so many events and initiatives in recent weeks, she's helping us to become the #1 Best Place to Work. 

This is what she has been up to: 

•  Guest Speaker at the Disability Confident in Action Business Summit, hosted by Microsoft in partnership with BASE. 

• Leading the charge in helping to organise our VodABILITY International Day of Persons with Disabilities. 

• Being an all-around fantastic human who pours her heart into making our workplace a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and that they belong. 
• Working tirelessly to help to achieve Disability confident level 3. Making us a Disability confident leader!

"I was honoured to recently be asked to speak on a panel at the Disability Confident in Action Business Summit. 

During the event, which provided a great opportunity to share best practices as well as connect and learn from other companies, we discussed Vodafone’s journey towards becoming Disability Confident. We shared some of our key successes and learnings, and provided top tips on how other businesses can start their own Disability Confident journey, particularly when it comes to incorporating disability inclusion into their workforce planning. 

Disability Confident is something I am personally passionate about and I continue to use this model in line with our inclusion values to lead positive movement in our business."
