Championing Change and Improving Understanding
We recognise and value the potential, talent and contributions that people with disabilities add to our organisation. We are committed to creating an inclusive application process and are continually learning and improving to ensure the best possible experience for everyone.
That’s why we’re committed to making our spaces and ways of working as accessible as possible and making the individual adjustments any of our people need to help them thrive.
VodABILITY
Our VodABILITY people network supports all types of disability and wellbeing at Vodafone UK. This includes physical and mental disabilities, hidden disabilities, and neurodiversity. They work to create an inclusive workplace that enables every colleague to excel, without exception.
The group provides readily available support for colleagues directly or indirectly affected by disability, connecting them to people who can help. They raise awareness of the support that’s already in place and drive new initiatives to address any gaps. And through activities like their 'Voices of VodABILITY’ series, they’re also helping to remove the stigma surrounding disability.

Positive About Disability
We are proud members of two schemes that enable us to support both our own people and our customers even better when it comes to disability.
As members of The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme, we recognise and raise awareness of people who use a sunflower to indicate they have a non-visible disability and may require support. People can wear the symbol in any number of ways, from badges to lanyards or using a virtual backdrop on video conferencing calls.
We’re also delighted to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) as part of the government’s Disability Confident Scheme. Being Disability Confident is driving us to think differently, increase accessibility, reduce barriers, and take action to improve our talent.
Supporting mental health
We have a wealth of resources to help everyone at Vodafone in their mental health. We have a dedicated Employee Assistance Programme, which offers confidential 24/7 support for personal or work-related problems. This is free of charge for all colleagues and their immediate family members.
We also provide mental health first aiders, a toolkit that promotes understanding and signposts colleagues to support, and a wellbeing network where people connect one another to support and advice.
Sponsorship For Good
Working with Mencap, we’ve used innovative IoT technology to support people with learning disabilities who are living in associated housing.
We were also able to champion inclusion as part of our multi-year partnership with Wimbledon, working with two of Britain’s greatest tennis players Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid to identify how the sport can be made more accessible to players of mixed ability.
We’re proud to be Official Connectivity Partner of the Mighty Hoopla Festival and Kendal Calling. At both events in summer 2022, we used 5G technology to keep music fans connected and promote accessibility and inclusion. We used cutting-edge 5G-enabled haptic suits to help people with disabilities experience live music like never before. This was alongside lots of other activities that helped to elevate the festival experience for everyone.

Reasonable Adjustments
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to interview for a role that matches their skills. In collaboration with our Talent, Diversity & Inclusion teams and the VodABILITY network, we've identified a range of reasonable adjustments to help you feel comfortable and perform at your best self during the interview process.
At Vodafone, we’re committed to supporting you throughout every stage of your journey with us. Find more information about the available interview adjustments and how to request them.
