After winning a ticket in the UK Gender Equality Network (UKGEN) ticket giveaway with LooseHeadz after an event held to discuss Men's Mental Health, I had the privilege of attending the LooseHeadz vs My Name'5 Doddie Foundation charity match, a spectacular event that encapsulated so much more than just the sport.
I am proud to see the impact our sponsorship has on LooseHeadz. The branded jerseys on the field were not just a symbol of support but a powerful statement of our commitment to mental health and community wellbeing. This partnership resonates deeply with our ethos at Vodafone, where we strive to connect for a better future.
This opportunity came after our Tuesday lunchtime call learning all things LooseHeadz with Co-Founder Rob Shotton. LooseHeadz is a clothing brand which raises awareness for mental health. Their aim is to place a mental health lead into every rugby club around the world and equip them with a toolkit of resources to help #TackleTheStigma.
As a passionate rugby fan, the experience was nothing short of exhilarating. Meeting legends like Matt Banahan, Dave Attwood and Jill Douglas MBE during the hospitality dinner and sharing a pint with Welsh Women’s Rugby Gwen Crabb, Courtney Keight and Ffion Lewis was an absolute highlight. Their dedication on and off the field is a testament to the strength and spirit of rugby.
A massive shoutout to Rob Shotton, Dave Nicoll and Mark Shotton for orchestrating such a phenomenal event. The match ended on an unprecedented 87-77 victory for LooseHeadz.
Here's to the continued partnership between LooseHeadz and Vodafone driving positive change, one game at a time.
