Role purpose:
Vodafone Cloud & Security (C&S) provides products and services to companies, public authorities and charities around the world. We have embarked on a significant phase of accelerated revenue growth in the Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) segment. Over the next four years, C&S is enhancing the customer offer, entering new market segments and enabling our OPCO’s to target the 10m existing SME and Soho customers in our base.

As our SME Proposition Specialist, you will build and manage our cloud offerings responsive to our SME customers’ needs. Using insights from the marketplace, our customers and internal and external industry sources, you will lead the definition of a specific subset of the roadmap relevant and compelling to new and existing Vodafone customers. In defining the proposition, you will manage the engagement with the OpCo’s to align on the market opportunity and requirements & also collaborate with our Business Platforms & Solutions teams to integrate consistent partners and solutions in the market place and then work to optimise marketplace traction.

You will be curious about the possibilities of SaaS and IaaS to help our small business customers drive productivity, maximising connectivity, efficiency and ultimately business success, now and into the future.
You will bring insight to the product research and development process, and bring a commercial insight to bundling with core connectivity, channel, proposition and price. The role will imply the establishment and oversight of external product and services partnerships.

Crucially the role will drive a regular cadence for portfolio alignment across our Operating Companies and Partner Markets, ensuring industry best practice, partner capability and segment demand are aligned to build a roadmap to maximise the opportunity for revenue and margin growth both within C&S, but also protecting core revenues, through our integrated propositions.

This role is to be accountable for:

  • Deployment and on-going management of a portfolio of integrated cloud (SaaS and IaaS) propositions driven by customer & industry insights
  • Align specific propositions with local market strategies and priorities.
  • Package and communicate Propositions /Go to Market plans /Product requirements/Partner commercial terms to develop the required partner and product roadmaps.
  • Definition and implementation of propositions in the SaaS and IaaS Portfolio across Small Medium and Enterprise segments
  • Define and align revenue and profitability targets by FY in accordance with LRP for specific propositions
  • Determine proposition investment and product and market prioritisation
  • Cross functional collaboration including: key Vodafone Operating Companies, VBP&S, Sales, Business Development, Commercial Development and Technology.
  • Facilitate Sales enablement of the propositions with relevant channels

Key performance indicators:

  • Revenue from SaaS and IaaS portfolio
  • Alignment and Implementation of Group Propositions in Local OPCO markets
  • Return on investment for the portfolio

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in Product Marketing, Business Analytics and SME Sales channel engagement.
  • Around 5 years ideally of relevant experience in SaaS and IaaS with particular emphasis on the SME market.
  • To be successful in this role you will have proposition development experience and enjoyed business success in the telecoms/cloud/technology industry.
  • Deep insight to cloud Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure (IaaS) & Cyber (CaaS) solutions.
  • You will be comfortable working in a matrix organisation, effectively collaborating with a wide range of disciplines from sales marketing to technology delivery.
  • You are comfortable working internationally, with partners across a range of channels and you have good commercial instincts.Excellent communication and presentation skills required to represent to both C&S and our Operating Companies at all levels of our organisation
  • Very strong Commercial and proposition development capabilities,
  • Preferable to have Business related qualifications and key partner accreditations
