Service Desk Associate – maternity cover

(extended business hours, no nightshift)


Vodafone Global Enterprise (VGE) is a Vodafone Group entity offering Vodafone products and services to multinational customers. The team responsibilities revolve around technical issues all around the world followed by the subsequent activities required to drive resolution. This role provides 1st line technical support to customers and end users. As a Service Desk Associate you would resolve an increasing percentage of issues at first contact, based on technical expertise and an excellent understanding of systems and processes.


What you will do:

  • Provide a high level 1st line support and first-time resolution whenever possible
  • Work with greater independence and possess bigger authority and knowledge to solve problems
  • Own the customer relationship, handling and resolving technical issues mostly via e-mails, and sometimes calls
  • Update the management of Vodafone and the customer on the status of incidents as well
  • Process tickets and orders in the relevant service support systems
  • Contribute actively to service improvement initiatives
This position is for you if you have:
  • Fluent English is a must and German language knowledge is nice to have
  • 2-3 years’ experience of working in a customer-facing support function or call-center
  • Technical & IT knowledge or analytical mindset
  • Great communication and problem solving skills
  • Experience in an SSC or a multi-partner environment is also an advantage
  • Extended business hours shift schedule with 5-6 days ON-CALL (from Monday till Friday; shifts from 7 AM till 4 PM and from 1:00 PM till 10 PM)
