Your place in the team

Senior process improvement expert is responsible for identification and development of process optimization, simplification and automation opportunities and manage process improvement processes in the business areas. Senior process improvement expert is a role model in digitalization and simplicity, represents innovative and efficient solutions, has simplicity as mindset and is able to design and deliver based on that. Senior process improvement expert will be responsible to deliver our vision of moving towards a simple operation and by simplifying and automating our processes and representing simplification mindset, enables to become a fully Digital Vodafone.

 

Senior process expert identifies trends and opportunities for improvement together with business stakeholders, delivers process improvement projects across business units, recommends and drives improvement actions and coordinates these tasks with the process team and respective business owners. Senior process improvement expert ensures that best practices and mindset is shared in the organization.

 

You will be involved in the following tasks:

 
Enhance VFHU overall process model
  • Implement the new companywide end-to-end process model for VFHU

  • Continuously review the sub-process list for the company wide end-to-end process model on level 3, in case that is needed at level 4 

  • Manage the collection of all currently available process descriptions, manuals, desktop procedures and map it to the newly created companywide end-to-end process model (using the GDPR, BCP, DRP, ISO and other documentations). Align the proposed process model with VFHU’s “Bridge” strategic IT project (BSS/OSS change) delivery model.

  • Based on priority list prepare the process documentation including business risk and controls, major KPIs/PPIs and proposals for simplification and digitalisation for your respective area

  • Keep up to date the system/application used for the process model documentation process development

  • Gather issues, complaints to identify process improvement needs, identify process gaps, manage root cause analysis

  • Lead continuous improvement/optimization of processes/services, facilitate the development and successful implementation of new processes

  • Create clear RACI and ownership model for the company wide end-to-end process model.

  • Act as subject matter expert for continuous improvement methodologies and their application for business processes

  • Liaise between the business units and other functions/departments including internal and external stakeholders

  • Promote and bring in ideas for an automated and digitalized environment

  • Prepare initial recommendations for the changes to policies and procedures; set standards for process performance

Project management along the process development
  • Perform project and change management activities and track the managed projects transparently: collect project deliverables and requirements, facilitate workshops

  • Make the use of resources visible, follow up progress, support decision-making through analysis and design, automate and deliver management reports.

  • Provide the right quality of demand, assess impact and feasibility, plan and define cross functional projects to ensure the process are operating at the required level

  • Lead cross-functional projects, coordinate and manage virtual project teams; apply quality management techniques to problem solving in the project

  • Coordinate the delivery of critical tasks / milestones in the project, highlight any risks and propose mitigation

  • Perform an impact and opportunity analysis on the company wide end-to-end processes taking into account the already ongoing projects, planned integration, changes in the overall IT landscape. Perform deep dives and propose a priority list for the detailed process documentation and business process reengineering. 

Skill/Competence development
  • Train VFHU staff at the proposed level and methodology of process improvement and re-engineering. VFHU suggestion is 6S Yellow/White belt training program but alternative proposals can be discussed. Support these trained employees in their individual process improvement initiatives and projects.

  • Deliver advanced and intermediate process training (6S Black Belt) trainings
