This is where you come in…

The Senior Copywriter is recognised as the copy guru or wordsmith of V by Vodafone, responsible for the conception, writing, editing, proofreading and delivery of a vast range of communications for the team. The role will be using a wide range of communication disciplines (including product marketing materials, apps, social media content, SMS campaigns, and lots more, to ensure the right message is communicated to the right audience at the right moment


The role works alongside the team of designers to respond to briefs through collaborative creative and conceptual development. Working with customers from the CIoT business (product, marketing, digital) will be crucial to the success of the role, so the successful candidate must be able to manage a fast paced creative environment to deliver effective, on brand communications. The key aim of the role is to create compelling, creative, marketing savvy copy at an agency-quality level.

With us you will:
  • Write effective and engaging copy in line with required briefs
  • Create copy for a broad range of stakeholders and projects from all areas of the business
  • Understand the different language styles that appear to different target markets and be able to tailor communications to the relevant audience
  • Be able to edit, improve and infuse the V brand voice into existing communications
  • Act as a brand/tone of voice consultant within the business to provide creative direction and guidance across all aspects of V copy communications
  • Champion the V tone of voice guidelines within the organization to ensure understanding and adherence
  • Conduct training sessions annually of the V tone of voice guidelines and with all new starters
  • Enhance marketing campaign performance
  • Engage UX experience, proposition, brand, online and sales leads to ensure buy-in and agreement on copywriting procedures, briefing requirements and service level agreements
  • Receive briefs from internal stakeholders, distil briefs to core consumer insight and work with the internal designers to deliver required creative output against brief
Apply if you have:
  • Extensive professional experience in a marketing, design or agency environment
  • Strong copywriting experience
  • Experience in above the line and below the line media or journalism
  • Experience in writing, editing marketing communication copy to a professional standard
  • Brand management experience
  • Creative flair
  • Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Thorough understanding of the creative communication process
