We have the below vacancy available in our Organisation:


The H Band Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer role is based within Technology.

The QA Engineer is responsible for maintaining QA platform and executing tests to platform readiness and capability quality, overseeing the end-to-end development process.
This role is responsible for reviewing technical design documents and tracking quality assurance metrics to ensure adherence to quality standards, identifying deficiencies, debugging, and defining remediating actions for environments. The incumbent will provide software-related operations support, including providing level two and level three incident and problem support.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to ensure adherence to design quality and coding standards

  • Compile Daily Morning Health Checks

  • Run daily checks across all environments

  • Investigate and fix issues & compile report

  • Perform post implementation checks

  • Join boilers (Functionality &environments)

  •  Manage and communicate issues

  • Server Uptime Monitoring

  • Services Availability Monitoring

  • Manage QA Deployment Approvals & Rollbacks

  • Test environments services using automation tools

  • Debug tests and provide corrective actions to software engineering

  • Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect density and early life incidents

  • Manage incidents as level two and level three support

  • Manage problems as level two and level three support


Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Technical design assessment and evaluation

  • Unit, integration, smoke and static code analysis testing Architectural element testing e.g. APIs

  • Performance and security testing

  • Automated testing and tools e.g. Selenium

  • Code reviewing

  • Test report creation

  • Software incident and problem management

  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies and tools

  • DevOps culture, processes, and tools

  •  Expertise in multiple programming and markup languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, SQL, XML, JSON, YAML, and Python

  • Competent working with cloud-native architectures, including public cloud PaaS/ IaaS, micro-services architectures, APIs

  • Highly cross-functional and able to swap and perform adjacent roles at short notice

  • Flexibility to deal with changing projects and priorities in a short space of time

  • Strong creativity, analysis, and problem solving skills and ability to learn new methods and processes

  • Strong relationship building, persuasion, and collaboration skills that drives effective constructive feedback and support

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to distil difficult technical concepts into simple and actionable practices

  • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple balls, and comfortable working under pressure

  • Willingness to track, assess, and incorporate practice and technology developments into day-to-day working
