Product Owner: Customer Rewards

As the Product Owner: Customer Rewards and Engagement in our Consumer Growth & Retention Tribe, you will be responsible for defining and delivering on our customer behavioral rewards strategy. The Product Owner takes P&L accountability for all reward products in the tribe. This role functions in an Agile tribe and squad structure and is the key decision maker on priorities and design decisions at each stage of the product development lifecycle.
The Product Owner represents the business stakeholders and is the voice of the customer guiding individual DevOps teams, responsible for ensuring that the delivery team delivers value to the business according to the outcome vision. This role is responsible for the definition of customer-centric items or user stories from the capability/feature road map defined by the Product Manager, ranking and prioritizing them, and adding them to the team backlog.
This role will work closely with the Release Train Engineer/Agile Programme Manager and Scrum Master in coordinating day to day activities such as sprint planning, retrospectives and other agile functions to ensure collaboration and effective delivery of user stories against commercial milestone objectives. The Product owner works to Agile principles, and will be responsible for the prioritization and delivery of the back log of change initiatives to maximize business benefit of the products and features we offer.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Define the annual customer rewards and engagement strategy
Quarterly updates and tracking of strategy execution and progress
P&L accountability to ensure revenue and cost targets are met
Rank and prioritize user stories / items and add them to the team backlog for sprint development, conveying a clear vision of what is required to be built
Approve the final release plan and accept all deliverables against defined user stories and acceptance criteria
Analyse and report delivery risks and opportunities, and engages stakeholders for communications and decision-making
Manage the financial plan for the delivery team, providing forecasts
Core competencies, knowledge, experience and qualifications:
Experience working as a Product Owner in an Agile Organization
Deep knowledge of Agile ways of working, ceremonies and artefacts
Experience working with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
Program Increment Planning
Strong business acumen with in-depth understanding of the contribution of the domain to the wider digital business strategy
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across the business and technical domain
Understanding of both the current Telecommunications and digital services market and emerging business trends
Incremental Customer Lifetime Value
Customer engagement KPIs such as active days of usage
Honours or Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a commercial, product or analytical role
Experience in delivering through teams
Direct Reports: Leads one squad of between 10 and 15 people
