Group Business Commercial Operations

Vodafone Group Business Operations delivers consistent, excellent service to all our 1700 multi-national clients. From designing to delivering extraordinary service that exceeds our customer’s expectations, we lead excellence across all our global markets and customer lifecycle Joining us as a Principal Pricing Intelligence Manager you can be part of our empowering our Group Business Commercial Operations.

The Commercial Intelligence team leads the development and evolution of standard commercial methodologies, and provides insights and analytics to support our regional Commercial Operation steams.  This requires collaborating on projects with other key functional stakeholders across Group Enterprise, as well as the wider Commercial Operations team, acting as a central function to share best practice and lead in commercial development.  The team also acts as a centre of excellence for commercial support on key strategic products including in the Connectivity and Unified Communications product practices, including Vodafone SD-WAN.

With us you will:
  • Lead on establishing standard pricing methodologies for Fixed Connectivity propositions, using commercial insight to challenge Product to ensure that standard Commercial Propositions are profitable and meet customer expectation (Internal and External), and that assumptions held within the commercial propositions are logical, sensible, updated and accurate at all times
  • Act as a commercial subject matter expert on one or more strategic products, providing coaching and guidance to Commercial Leads and Commercial Managers in the Regional Commercial Operations teams on bids to maximise profitability and win chance.
  • Strong analytical decision making skills, including the ability to balance conflicting interests and make decisions based on in complete or unreliable information and can structure and price standard product economics to maximize profits
  • Develop strong relationships with internal customers, both in Commercial Operations and Sales, to understand their requirements and help ensure a collaborative working environment across key areas, including OpCo Commercial teams, other functions, PCS, Finance, Product, Supply Chain
Apply if you have:
  • Experience pricing Fixed Connectivity products (e.g. IPVPN), preferably with experience in pricing for Software Defined Networks
  • Experience developing compelling commercial propositions
  • Demonstrate expert industry knowledge in a fixed line communications environment, including commercial issues affecting a bid
  • Computer skills, including a high level of Excel commercial modelling skills, and relevant system knowledge
