Role purpose: To source, transform and load data into the various applications used by the Big Data, Intelligence and Analytics team to support business insights and corporate information strategies.

What will I be doing?
  • Process data from internal and external systems into defined applications
  • Evaluate and integrate new data sets to enable effective information and insights management
  • Prepare data for analysis and insight creation
  • Deliver analysis to support the development of information strategies
  • Work with the wider business to build business logic into data flows to simplify information generation and insights creation.
What Will I Bring?
  • Good understanding in data engineering / data warehousing environment
  • BSc or above degree in a quantitative discipline ( statistics, math, computer science) or equivalent 1-2 years of practical experience
  • Experience using ETL tools such as SSIS, Wherescape Red, Talend or Datastage
  • Experience in Python scripting,  Knowledge of JSON object notation
  • Experience with Cloud Data platforms/AWS experience
  • RDBMS / SQL / Modelling some os knowledge and scripting skills
  • Sound knowledge of data engineering principles within SQL environments and also within programming environments
  • Effective relationship and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Experience working with large volumes of information
