Title: Channel Development Manager

Location: Carrickmines, Dublin 18



Role purpose:

RED Edge is Vodafone’s Inside Sales channel: a desk-based digital sales channel for Enterprise customers. RED Edge is an inbound and outbound sales team that sells for eight of Vodafone’s Operating Companies (OpCo’s) and three Verticals / Business Units from bases in Dublin, Valencia, Budapest, Johannesburg & Singapore. Vodafone is converting all desk-based selling (from RED Edge hubs and in local markets) to adopt the RED Edge sales methodology, process and toolset.

The role holder will work with Operating Companies; Group Enterprise and Partner Markets, primarily within Europe, to develop RED Edge as a sales channel in the most impactful way for each market.

The role holder will support the business leaders to define and agree new “missions” with OpCo’s, Partner Markets and verticals requiring significant engagement at EBU “Head of” level across several geographies ensuring the necessary internal compliance is completed end to end. This role requires working with OpCo and Group sales leaders; commercial teams, existing desk-based sales teams, as well as Finance, HR, Marketing, and Group functions.

 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

 
  • Identify, qualify, propose and close opportunities with local markets to enable RED Edge growth

  • Develop and own expansion plans that enable OpCo’s to meet business challenges by show casing RED Edge as a digital selling Centre of Excellence

  • Own the governance of the RED Edge Expansion Process (REEP) and be accountable for the first four stages of the REEP process and be responsible for the elements owned under the launch phase to enable the successful launch of missions

  • Ensure that RED Edge builds meaningful relationships with key contacts at EBU “Head of” level and owns the bi-annual NPS survey to track

 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

 
  • Track record of sales / sales management, marketing and business development in a B2B context

  • Experience of developing successful c-level relationships internally and externally

  • Expert level inside sales management
  • Confident in highly ambiguous environments and able to drive outcomes autonomously whilst managing complexity

  • Experience working with digital selling methodologies and platforms
