Our team:

The Budget & Portfolio team is a horizontal function across Group Technology Consumer Products & Services (CP&S) providing an interface across the technical teams and with the CP&S management on issues related to budget planning, spend monitoring, portfolio analysis and prioritization, and post investment reviews.


The team has an onshore (Dusseldorf Germany) and offshore (Pune, India) presence and covers the following main processes:

  • Budget preparation

  • Spend monitoring

  • Purchasing process management

  • Portfolio management

  • Post investment review

  • Infrastructure demand management within Vodafone Group and with Amazon Web Services.

Role Purpose:

The main purpose of the role is to identify and drive process optimisation initiatives across CP&S in areas relevant to the team, contribute to building the  portfolio management and post implementation review processes and support with the other department activities in the area of budget preparation and budget spend monitoring. With us you will:
  • Identify and coordinate process improvement initiatives. Optimise processes and the overall approach where necessary.

  • Coordinate budget relevant cross-CP&S activities (e.g. Purchasing/billing and spend optimisation for Amazon Web Services; Inter-company recharges; External resources tracking)

  • Support portfolio management and post investment review activities across CP&S

  • Manage CP&S infrastructure demand process for TDO

  • Work with business units to develop standard operating procedures, documenting workflows and process steps.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with many stakeholders: CP&S community, Group Data Centre, Group Finance, commercial business units


Apply if you have:

  • Higher education degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or another related fields

  • Experience in financial analysis, budgeting or controlling.

  • Experience in project management with knowledge of agile methodologies and tools as a plus (Atlassian Jira)

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint)

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision.

  • Good understanding of business processes and process analysis

  • Strong analytical working style and ability to manage complex, detailed and sensitive data and communicate key messages

  • Affinity to work with numbers and financial data
  • Strong time-management skills and being comfortable working under pressure

  • Strong communication skills in an international environment

  • Fluent spoken and written English skills
