Role title:  Marketplace Channel Manager

Role purpose: 


What if….Vodafone Marketplace becomes the principle channel for SMEs on all ICT needs across Europe.  Powered by customers from V-Hub Digital Advisor and Opco marketing campaigns and supported by Group and assisted sales teams to drive a leading sales customers experience and maximise revenue of existing and new acquisition customers.
As Marketplace channel manager, you will define and drive end to end implementation of the marketplace channel and transform existing assisted sales channels.




•    Define with the local channel teams the ICT/IoT channels mix 
•    Define the models to blend existing direct and indirect channels with unassisted digital channels; maximize self-serve function on the Marketplace. 
•    Define the models to blend digital channels with assisted channels (Marketplace and V-Hub); maximise leads from V-Hub and Marketplace into SME direct and indirect channels.




•    Work closely with the local marketplace and channel teams and implement best possible channel led programme.
•    Assess with the local team the market size, sales ambition, ICT/IoT competitive landscape and channel requirements in depth. Drive recommendations to operative and stakeholder levels. 
•    Work with the OpCo’s deliver a seamless and scale omni-channel operating models and be e2e evangelist of X-LoB propositions 


This role within the Strategy and Transformation team requires experience, passion and the ability to work at speed and to high quality in a highly matrixed organisation across marketing, technology, digital at the Group level and aligning and localising the product within the OpCo’s. The Marketplace is a leading strategic initiative and this role requires commercial, digital and channel operations expertise and work with the local sales teams across the Vodafone footprint. 
You will act as the subject matter expert and also lead the execution in the markets, with the objective to capture leads in the marketplace eco-system, qualifying them and feed them into the right assisted sales team.  This is a critical role in maximising sales and the required growth in marketplace revenues.
You will possess strong stakeholder management, commercial acumen, as well as verbal communication skills and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise on a daily basis.  A self-starter with a real focus on delivering commercial  outcomes.  Some international travel will be required as the role is hands-on and in the field. 

Job Responsibility


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

1.    Define local sales ambition, sizing the market, assess market landscape and assess channel readiness

2.    Marketplace omni channel blueprint (across digital and traditional sales)

3.    Define two initial blueprints

  •     Leads from V-Hub and Marketplace into assisted sales teams
  •     How assisted sales team support marketplace digital inbound channel to close leads in the sales funnel

4.    Work with local sales teams (as one of the team) to define sales ambition, channel readiness

5.    Manage the execution of channel blueprints into the local markets and manage adoption to maximise revenue growth

•    Omni channel implementation knowledge
•    Analytical, problem solver to understand channel requirements through interviews and drive channel specific transformation programs 
•    Sales operations and enablement experience
•    Strong relationship skills, internal and external stakeholder management, matrix management 


Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

•    Strong analytical skills 
•    Strong sales channel delivery track record
•    SaaS/ICT product sales enablement
•    Experience of working in a start-up in large organisation and firm CxO / Directors’ communication
