Technical Sales Specialist

Location: Stoke (full time home working during COVID 19)

What will you be doing?

  • Engage across a range of contact points within a customer organisation and determine the Vodafone Product solution required to provide market-leading service to that customer.
  • Provide technical pre-and post-sales support for low to medium complexity customer requirements. In the capacity of Solution Owner the Senior Technical Adviser will be accountable for managing requirements, creating and validating the solution design. For larger opportunities the Senior Technical Adviser will contribute to a virtual team led by the agreed Solution Owner.
  • Working with local customers as part of Solution Design, the Senior Technical Adviser will typically own opportunities worth up to £30M TCV.
  • Respond to requests for new technology or technology-derived solutions from the customer, but will also be accountable for demand generation activities i.e. pro-actively creating new opportunities to sell Vodafone solutions. This is a customer-facing role.
  • Work with other members of the Vodafone team, including: Sales, Solution Owners, Projects Managers, Delivery, Service and Commercial Management to ensure that solutions designed are fit for purpose and can be readily deployed and operated by Vodafone in a profitable manner.


Who are we looking for?

  • Awareness of the procurement frameworks and processes associated with both private and public sector clients.
  • Detailed understanding of the products and services within the Vodafone Service Catalogue, the underpinning technologies and internal processes involved from quotation through to delivery.
