Role purpose:

The Global Account Manager (GAM) is accountable for overall VGE relationship management in multiple accounts. The role is focused to drive business outcomes for VGE accounts interacting with the accounts in multiple regions (operating companies, affiliates and partners) to drive profitable and long-term revenue contribution, customer satisfaction and increased market share from integrated product, service, converged/unified communications / IoT and mobile solution offerings.
The Global Account Manager works with a client-focused team which includes the National Account Managers (NAM) in the different VGE regions, commercial solution, product and service functions


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pursue significant white space on accounts that maybe under-penetrated
  • Strengthen relationship with the account base
  • Act as the ‘hunter’ on the account to build networks and relentlessly chase large opportunities
  • Work with Operating Companies (OpCo) corporate sales and customer fulfilment and delivery areas to ensure that international and national strategies are aligned, complementary and deliver to customers
  • Responsible for driving multi product penetration increasing revenue from the account.


  • University Degree
  • Track record of global accounts/ enterprise solution selling within multi-national companies
  • Deep understanding of the customer’s business, it’s market and industry alongside key decision-makers and influencers in account organisation
  • Manage global customer relationship up to C-Level
  • Ability to translate customer’s objectives and strategy into relevant VGE propositions
  • Deep work experience in Telecommunications / IT Industry
  • Well-versed with consultative selling approach
  • Robust understanding of account P&L
  • Ability to lead and manage an international virtual and distributed team
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at C Level
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven track record of result working in a multi-cultural environment across multiple time zones
