Senior Privacy Operations Specialist


Your role in a nutshell:
Working to protect the privacy of more than 500 million Vodafone customers and employees, Vodafone Group Privacy team, a function under Vodafone Group Legal, oversees Vodafone’s global Privacy Programme and ensures its implementation within Vodafone Group. Joining us as a Privacy Specialist, you can be part of our award winning, empowering privacy function, working on cutting edge privacy matters.


Be part of a high impact, high volume and high intensity team, providing world class Privacy by Design and compliance support and contractual legal support to a wide range of internal stakeholders. You will join our new VOIS Privacy Operations team and be supporting a variety of companies all based in Luxembourg and providing procurement and roaming services to the wider Group, with the following key accountabilities.


What you will love in your role:
•    Supporting and motivating at least one privacy analyst.  Providing guidance whilst proactively overseeing smooth day to day operations across our global operations. 
•    Privacy demand management, triage and categorisation of requests in a timely manner, track and allocate workload across the team with full visibility on priorities ensuring business demand is met and processes are adhered to at the highest of standards
•    Supporting our Privacy by Design and Assurance activities across a range of data processing activities (including regular policy compliance reviews, assurance reviews, conducting privacy impact assessments and re-assessments of high and medium risk activities) );
•    Supporting HR for Luxembourg based employees
•    Incident Management, 
•    Supporting Supplier Compliance processes, particularly in relation to supplier management processes and negotiating data protection agreements.  
•    Developing and embedding privacy notices, templates, advice, guidance and processes with the objective of improving privacy processes.
•    Supporting the Group Privacy team with other privacy activities as may be required from time to time. 

What will you bring to the team:
•    Must haves: 3+ years’ experience in privacy and/or legal.
•    Experience in negotiating contracts and data protection clauses.
•    Knowledge of compliance management standards, tools, methodologies and best practices;
•    Excellent command of English, and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication.
Nice to haves: 
•    Good understanding of global privacy landscape in technology and/or telecoms businesses;
•    Experience of OneTrust and Jira.
•    Excellent organisation skills, with an ability to handle multiple requests with differing priorities and stakeholders;
