The Senior Tech Lead & SME is the key expert and source of technical knowledge to technologies enabled and in use by the UAM department in the Vodafone Group Technology security compliance organisation. Based on this expertise UAM processes and workflows are designed and automated by the SME in person and in collaboration with UAM internal and external development (on- and off-shore) teams. Guidance, innovation and training are part of this role and require in-depth knowledge of repositories in use by UAM as the SME holds the technical ownership of those repositories and integrated or attached applications, scripts and APIs.

Validation of End-2-End compliance of UAM (Joiner/Leaver/Mover/Review) workflow from technical side are this roles responsibilities. Any kind of innovative approach from internal or external demands will be translated and transformed into toolset innovations (e.g.: APIs/cloud integration) by this role, in close interaction with UAM E2E roles and demand functions. This is the role’s main accountability; as a strong and independent engagement with technology leads and architects across the entire Vodafone family driving automation/simplification and integration of new products/technologies is key to the success of the security compliance function.
Integrity of UAM repository data is a major goal of the SME, enabling the audit support team to deal with internal and external audits on GDPR and SOX level.

Governance of UAM product evolution (innovation and uplift) of are driven by this role. Product integration and consultancy to Vodafone companies are directly managed by the expert, which means frequent interaction with stake holders and customers on project side. Cost estimations and budget related topics are a shared responsibility with the Manager of UAM, to whom the SME functionally reports.

Following the Tech2025 strategy this senior tech role is accountable to enable a global UAM team performing the daily mission of maintaining control and integrity of all accesses and privileges across all technologies and platforms with minimal manual effort, multiplying the efficiency of the security compliance pillar by cross-platform provisioning and consolidation of distributed access model building a meta layer (in terms of UAM automation) orchestrating the entire on- and off premise technology stack of Vodafone.

With us you will:
• lead and coordinate UAM automation activities including internal and external demands
• Accountable for technology integration (API/cloud connector/consumable infrastructure) into UAM compliance solutions and products
• UAM tool and product service management including demands and budget transfers between Vodafone entities and departments Transformation of granular access models into service and profile oriented methods (e.g.:role mapping heuristics and IA based profile refining->zero touch operations)
• lead the product and service development by building new products and new features to existing ones, based on existing capabilities, vendors or developing new ones
• Standardisation of UAM control and access provisioning for all cloud and legacy technologies (build once/use many – API approach)

Apply if you have:
• In-depth technical knowledge of UAM products and services (OneUAM/ARC/CUAR) and datacentre technologies (Operating systems/AD/LDAP/databases/IAM solutions/Sailpoint/Oracle IDM)
• pragmatic problem-solving skills and capability to contribute with a simple, efficient and stable solutions
• In-depth Knowledge of Security/SOX/GDPR and data centre process standards
• Ability to form and coordinate international agile squads
 Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Excellent knowledge of IT and data centre process standards, ITIL, SOX, GDPR,  ISO 27001 / 9000
• In-depth knowledge of on premise and off-premise DC technologies (system architect or 7 years+ experience)
• Fluent English
• Ability to coordinate work across an international and distributed teams (PRINCE2/Scrum master)
• Proven working experience in large distributed & scalable architecture solutions
• Able to deal with international customers
• Strong analytical, functional and technical communication and interpersonal skills, coordination capability, structured and organized
