Description

Role title: Telecoms Network Automation Programme Manager

Location: UK 

 

Accountable for the delivery of the Automation Program of the Transport and Transmission Networks in the European markets and Global networks. The Automation Program is key for TTN transformation towards an open and programmable network to enable  Tech2025 and Techco initiatives in the Global and Opcos networks.

 

In the frame of the TTN Automation program to ensure the development, certification and lifecylce of the automation use cases and maintain the TTN Automation Service catalogue. Propose the agile methodology and support the various team of professionals in the agile transformation and manage the Automation Tribe deliveries via multiple Squads.

Job Responsibility


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

 
•    Create a plan for development and certification of the automation use cases for international and local OpCos. Align with stakeholders and coordinate other NEA teams for delivery.

•    Maintain the automation service catalogue

•    Propose the Agile transition of the TTE community by supporting professionals and lead the Scrum masters, Product Owners and support the Agile Squads.
•    Manage the demand and delivery process of the TTE automation community, called ‘ Tribe’   

 

 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:


•    Significant experience of managing complex cross functional technical, transformational and business change programmes. Credible at senior management level, and trustworthy within an extended programme / project team.
•    Highly collaborative and able to bring people together, ability to deal with ambiguity and find ways forward, character of strength to say how things really are.
•    Having a good understanding on Agile methods and experience in  Agile transition
•    A good technical understanding of IT and telecommunications, including software defined networking and network function virtualisation.
•    Sound financial and commercial acumen. Ability to prepare and evaluate business cases and conduct ongoing benefit reviews during the lifecycle of programmes and projects.

    

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 


•    Programme management qualification, ideally managing successful programmes (MSP).
•    Project management qualitifcations, ideally PRINCE2 and / or PMP.
•    Proven track record of delivery in the IT / Telecoms industry, preferably with experience in vendor management, contract management, outsourcing and service delivery.
•    Good awareness of IT and Telecoms technologies, not limited to fixed line, hosting, IT, mobile and SDN / NFV.
•    Preferably proven track record in Agile programs and/or transitions
