Technical Security Delivery Manager

Location:  Newbury (hybrid working pattern)

What will you be doing?  


Collaborate with and direct teams/functions that own technical security controls across Group and UK to deliver TSR technical workstreams and meet regulatory requirements.  Delivery activity includes technical security gap analysis and solution planning, cross-functional remediation plans, risk management and progress update reports.  Work closely with the internal Security Compliance team to ensure a smooth transition from delivery to ongoing security monitoring.

Work with technical subject matter experts and SPOCs to define and deliver against the TSR technical security controls.
Ensure functions deliver safe-bet activities (those security controls that will be implemented no-matter what happens with the legislation) against deadlines proposed.
Work in conjunction with the Senior Technical Security Architect who will be leading gap analysis, guiding functions and reporting back centrally where issues exist. 
Manage technical project workstream delivery activities that contribute to the overall programme; includes aspects of objective setting, reporting, gap analysis, improvements, and implementation plans.
Adapt to latest technical security requirements; NCSC anticipate new technologies are likely to introduce new threats which will require new security controls to deliver.   
Identify how to further enhance and proactively improve security controls.
Work with the Security Compliance Managers to ensure that once we deliver on TSR requirements, the wider team can demonstrate/evidence compliance.
Take ownership of tracking security compliance progress in Synergi and project updates in other delivery tools. 
Ensure subject matter experts and SPOCs understand and take ownership for their security controls and escalate where issues occur.
Implement continual technical security improvements to security controls across the business.


Who are we looking for?   

 

Technical security knowledge of networks and IT ideally with qualification such as CISSP; security architecture experience would be a distinct advantage. 
Knowledge of virtualisation, cloud and Network and Cyber management platforms. 
Delivery of security projects working closely with subject matter experts in a Technology and cyber security environment covering fixed and mobile networks.
Providing security advice and guidance to stakeholders on technical security challenges.
Delivery focused and task driven to work effectively to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of security compliance frameworks.
Must be able to manage security risks to effectively manage security threats.
Experience of implementing automated security solutions to reduce manual overhead is desirable.
Role has visibility at director-level so ability to present and clearly articulate technical information in non-technical way.
Professional certification to CISSP, TOGAF, SABSA or equivalent technical security qualification is preferred or security architecture experience in role.
