Senior Manager - Transformation & Analytics

Location: Newbury (Full-time remote working during COVID-19)
Salary: Competitive plus car and bonus

What will you be doing? 

 

The Senior Manager - Transformation & Analytics deliver Vodafone’s UK strategic cloud reporting and insight capability. Leading the definition of the UK data operating model and the creation of a best in class capability and platform to support Vodafone’s customer care and growth ambitions. You will take accountability for creating our new Cloud Data & Analytics capability. You will work very closely with other senior data leaders in the UK and Vodafone Group, technology delivery leads, data architects and external system integrators, to ensure both the required technical and business needs are delivered. You will need to champion a behavioral and cultural step change in how the business will access, consume and leverage data across the UK market.  

 

This is a very critical and exciting role, our biggest investment to date in data, which will drive the transformation of becoming a better data driven organisation in line with our Finance and Technology 2025 strategies.

 

Key accountabilities include:
 

  • Own Delivery of Programme Nucleus (the transition of the enterprise data warehouse to Vodafone’s Google Cloud).  Managing UK and Group resources and (3rd party SI). Ensuring the VF Group data model and tooling are fit for purpose to meet the UK’s requirements.
  • Own the framework of Data Governance and Quality and define, develop, manage and deliver it’s implementation across the UK. Ensuring that resource/budget is available to support execution.
  • Own the creation of a UK Data Operating model, aligned with Vodafone Group to ensure the business maximises the value of data within the organisation. 
  • Responsible for setting up and embedding an Analytics Capability aligned with VF Group’s capabilities and operates in sync with other data science and analytics teams across the UK.
     

Who are we looking for?  

 

  • Strong background in delivering Data Transformation / Change.
  • Strong background operating and leading in a Data & Analytics (BI) function, excellent understanding of data models (eTom) and database platforms - ideally Telco environment.
  • Has experience of setting up and embedding an Analytics capability, being able to demonstrate value.
  • Proven ability in delivering cultural change on importance and usage of Data and Data Quality in a large organisation.
  • Experience of leading a team.
