What will you be doing?  

A Partner Solution Consultant within the Wholesale team is a technical authority for the support and management of the Vodafone UK MVNO partners.  Responsibilities will include;

  • Designing end to end solutions for the evolution of MVNO partner capabilities in alignment with Vodafone architectural principles, and then working with UK and Group technology functions to deliver those designs on behalf of and in alignment with the MVNO partners.
  • Working directly with MVNO partners to provide consultancy on new technologies and regulations, advising on how best to incorporate them within their service architecture.
  • Design and deliver end to end solutions for new MVNO opportunities into the Vodafone estate.
  • Provide technical support to the Wholesale Account and Service Management to achieve the best possible service and support to MVNO partners, actively driving Vodafone Wholesale’s “Partner of Choice” strategy.
  • Lead end to end solution design activities for new/enhanced products and capabilities that provide business advantage to the Wholesale business function and MVNO partners.
  • Lead virtual Vodafone teams across all impacted Business and Technology areas to drive approved design and delivery.
  • Assess the impacts of technology designs on Wholesale/MVNO business and capabilities. Provide guidance on these solutions to ensure alignment with MVNO architectures. Influence changes to organisation, process and technology accordingly.
  • Work with the Wholesale team, the Vodafone Technology teams and representatives from the Partner organisation to ensure solution designs deliver agreed scope using Vodafone UK design methodologies.
  • Build rapport with the various 3rd party vendors and Vodafone Design and Delivery teams to assure cost-effective and efficient design, testing and integration of in/outsourced partner deliverables

Who are we looking for?   

  • Technical management of third party delivery partners
  • Leading the solution/design effort for small to medium projects or forming part of a Solution/design team for large projects. 
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to simplify the complex.
  • Track record of solution design, crossing between IT and Core Networks and using Vodafone standard Design tools and methodologies.
  • Broad comprehensive knowledge of IT and Core Network systems, particularly how they are adapted for MVNO partner solutions.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. (desired)
  • Specialises in Integration and SOA but has a deep understanding of all areas of IT Architecture including CRM, Order Management and ERP (desired)
  • Understanding of Vodafone Target Global Architecture, Architectural standards and industry standards (desired)
  • Strong awareness of Vodafone Local Market technical capabilities and alignment of their solutions and roadmaps to the strategic core and IT architecture (desired)
  • Experience of working with MVNO Partners or with the design/delivery of the varying MVNO models (desired)
