Network Optimisation Authority (64270)

Location: Newbury (Full-time remote working during COVID-19)

Permanent: Full time (37.5 hours per week)

What will you be doing?

 

You’ll lead multiple technical work streams with advanced complexity. You will also be responsible for steering the multi-vendor radio roadmap & design, focussing the related optimisation strategy to target specific KPIs and customer experience improvements & supporting on UK & vendor-scale performance issues. 

 

You will act as a subject matter expert for Mobile Networks with responsibility for ensuring cross-vendor alignment on all aspects of performance-impacting design wherever possible and use network insights from various sources to identify the key design changes that will fulfil Network’s strategy and performance targets.   You will also be responsible for identifying, creating & promoting new customer experience KPIs, beyond our traditional methodology and communicate accordingly.

 

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • Trusted adviser, key influencer and responsible to deliver short and medium-term strategies
  • Regionally recognized SME with expert knowledge for at least 2 RAN vendors (Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia) combined with at least 2 different NW functions expertise e.g.: RAN + TX/CORE/ Deployment/Operations.
  • Strong, engineering-based performance analysis and a detailed knowledge of mobile radio, mobility, capacity & device behaviour is required (in particular for 5G).
  • Experience of working cross-functionally and driving collaboration between teams and functions.
  • Highly analytical with excellent communication skills – able to communicate confidently and effectively to all levels of the business.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, internal and external (customer/supplier)
