IT Enterprise Architect

Location: Newbury HQ (Blended home & office)
Salary:  £Competitive + Bonus and Benefits
Hours: 37.5 Hours a week

Working as an Enterprise Architect within the UK IT Architecture team, you will be creating end to end cross functional architectures that meet the UK business requirements.


Due to growth of the practice we have x3 roles available. This is a great opportunity for an individual on their Enterprise Architect journey to build their skills and develop their career to the next level. You’ll work on exciting end-to end projects and work with cutting edge technologies. Prior experience of working with CRM systems or within telecomms/ consultancy/ service provider environments is highly advantageous.


What will you be doing?


•Assist in the definition and governance of the Vodafone UK IT architecture, ensuring that it meets business requirements and performance goals, and that the technical direction is consistent with Vodafone strategy.
•Contribute to and understand the IT Architecture Strategy in conjunction with VF UK Strategy and VF Global vision.
•Act as a functional end to end expert for a portfolio of related applications within UK Technology.
•Lead design reviews to ensure compliance to the target architecture throughout the development life cycle.
•Lead architecture effort for small to medium projects or be a member of an Architecture team for larger programmes.
•Manage or assist as requested the delivery of technical solutions that provide business advantage to Vodafone through effective right time, right cost, and right solution design.
•Work with product vendors and system integrators and Vodafone cross functional teams in achieving the above.
•Engage with a wide range of stakeholders including project teams, IT specialist architects and the Vodafone business, service operations, technology partners and Vodafone Group Architecture/Technology.

Who are we looking for?


•Proven experience within an Enterprise Architect role
•Ability to work within a technical environment performing technical design and/or system analysis roles across technical domains. Wide range of exposure to different technologies.
•Technical competency of solution design.
•Understanding of what it means to be a “digital” company and of multi-channel customer service.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to present technical solutions in easy to understand business language.
•Strong stakeholder management skills
