Description

The IT Platforms domain (ITPD) provides critical Global Solutions and IT Services to the entire Vodafone Group PLC business.  With a core focus on the delivery of the Corporate Solutions, including the Global ERP Solution EVO, and a portfolio of business applications supporting key business units in Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Procurement, Shared Services and Group BI.  

 

The IT Platforms Team are currently leading a number of transformation initiatives, including the transition to the new Digital Core SAP S/4 HANA and Cloud Applications including SuccessFactors, Ariba and Concur.

 

The IT Platforms Landscapes, Systems and Tools Team are accountable to provide leading edge, high available and flexible landscapes for a safe and efficient agile Release Deployment and sustainable Operations.

 

The IT Platforms Cloud Enablement Architect role delivers the technology landscape in the cloud as the strategic platform to provide leading edge services to Vodafone´s business. 
Purpose of the role is:

 

•    To develop and evolve the cloud strategy for IT Platforms and align with Group Data Centre Public Cloud Services and CIS Teams
•    To drive the cloud roadmap with our Shared Services Teams and Partners to best support the new Agile Delivery Model

 

Job Responsibility

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

 
•    Accountable to manage all technical and non-technical activities for cloud deployments for IT Platforms, working with the various cross-functional teams (Security, SI, PCS (Public Cloud Services)) and other internal teams) and also negotiating with management representatives.
•    To drive the architectural design standards of cloud deployment (SAP & non-SAP) to ensure a holistic and future proof approach, to take full advantage of any cloud based and automation technologies available 
•    To deliver and manage cost assessment, optimisation, control and reporting for cloud based deployments to ensure optimal usage of budget for projects and Ops running their systems in the cloud.
•    Act as a Technology Leader within ITPD to drive cloud prototypes and proof of concepts.
•    Accountable to maintain a deep level of collaboration with the Security Vertical to ensure ongoing adoption of new Security standards in a rapidly evolving landscape.    

 

 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:


•    Track record in delivering deployment projects in the cloud
•    Ability to deliver through international, multi-cultural and virtual teams in a complex matrix organisation
•    In-depth understanding of technical aspects related to SAP & non-SAP environment (landscape, OS patching, upgrades etc.) and the latest technologies such as S/4 HANA, FIORI
•    8 years + experience of Release technical deployment planning and delivery of international ERP projects combined with a track record of successful service provider integration
•    Detailed understanding of SOX, Security, Change and Release Management processes based on ITIL and DevOps
    

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 


•    Excellent knowledge of public cloud technologies and their use with SAP & non-SAP products
•    Academic degree in information  technology or science
•    Professional Cloud certifications
