Head of Scaled Agile Delivery

Location: Newbury HQ (Full-time remote working during COVID-19)
Salary:  £Competitive + Excellent benefits

What will you be doing? 

 

In this Senior Management opportunity you will be responsible for the overall delivery of Vodafone UK’s Digital portfolio, and the build of Vodafone’s Scaled Agile Delivery practice.  Covering all business units (Consumer, Enterprise, Service & Technology) this role will lead a team of programme & project managers, Agile experts and Release Train Engineers - setting clear vision and controls for success.  

 

Who are we looking for?  

 

  • You will have extensive experience (at a senior management level) delivering a large portfolio of complex delivery programmes with 20+ agile feature teams.
  • You will have strong scaled agile (SAFe) delivery experience and deep understanding of the theory and practical implementation of agile methods in a complex digital delivery environment. 
  • You will have experience with establishing scaled agile delivery teams, including setting up the concept of Release Trains, and associated Release Tran Engineers (RTEs)
  • You will be SAFe certified. 
  • You will have proven experience through the E2E delivery lifecycle including in a multispeed delivery model.
  • You will proven ability to manage large budgets ($30m+) across a complex portfolio, incl. tracking forecast vs actuals and accountability for on-budget delivery. Ability to own budget planning cycles and drive cost optimisation where required.
  • You will have demonstrable ability to build high performing teams in a high pressure environment. Coaching, mentoring and upskilling a community of delivery-focussed PMs in an agile/digital portfolio delivery model and managing all aspects of annual performance review cycles, hiring, retention and remuneration.
  • You will have a strong appreciation and understanding of Analytics and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) for digital channels.
