Cyber Security

At Vodafone Global Cyber Security, we help our customers to remain secure and resilient in a world of increasingly sophisticated cyber-attacks.  We offer a unique combination of highly resilient networks, enterprise-class cloud platforms, advanced security systems and expert advice, helping limit the risks of a mobile workforce, such as commercial losses, regulatory breaches or threats to individuals, whilst enabling productivity and employee satisfaction.  Joining us as a Solution Engineer, you can be part of our empowering our Cyber Security function.

In Cyber Prevent, the Solution Engineers work closely alongside the Platform Managers as part of the platform leadership team for their cyber security platform/s, which will collectively ensure that their platform/s provide an effective first line of defence for the related Cyber Security Baseline controls and are delivering optimum risk reduction to meet the required adequacy and coverage for the platform/s. The platform leadership team has to also ensure their platform/s are globally consistent; effective and efficient; they will also be responsible for defining and driving the global platform roadmap and leading the virtual & matrixed platform technical teams to design, build and lifecycle manage the platform. The platform leadership team will work intimately with central Group Technology and Cyber Security teams & globally dispersed local Cyber Security teams to ensure that the related Cyber Security Baseline controls Vodafone’s global risk posture relating to the platform is being appropriately managed.

With us you will:

.Working as part of the platform leadership team to define the global platform roadmap and lead its delivery through virtual & matrixed teams. Good understanding of Exchange on premise, Exchange online, Microsoft Office 365, Exchange Online Protection & Defender for O365.
• When asked by the Domain Lead, to take accountability for the design and delivery of the platform roadmap and to head up the platform leadership team.
• Act as Vodafone’s cyber security platform technical experts. Good understanding and hands on experience of Microsoft Azure components.
• Working with Domain leads and fellow Solution Engineers within Cyber Prevent to ensure that all the cyber security platforms within the domains are globally consistent
• Liaise with Cyber Security Demand to ensure that Platform business demands, projects and risk reduction activities are optimally scheduled.

Apply if you have:

• Professional operational experience in cyber security operations or cyber security engineering, cyber security platform management.
• Track record of delivering cyber security platform operations in a complex & dynamic technology environment.
• Personal experience and judgement to be able to quickly determine the right operational treatment of cyber security platforms.
• Strong analytical skills to inform effective data driven decisions on service improvement & risk reduction
• Effective collaboration across globally dispersed teams in order to deliver the consistency, and risk reduction, outcomes required.
• Active & compelling engagement of people and stakeholders, across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
• Communicating & reporting concise summaries of complex scenarios & information across diverse and senior stakeholder groups.
• Strong knowledge and experience on Microsoft licensing SKUs and their suitability or possible constraints against business requirements
