Core Network Support Engineer


Location: Newbury (Full-time remote working during COVID-19)
Salary: Competitive
Hours: 37.5

Our network operations teams ensure our customers remain connected to their Vodafone services 24/7, constantly monitoring and enhancing network performance. Be part of Vodafone UK Technology Operations, the team that uses the latest technology and analytics to continually improve customer experience.  


What will you be doing? 


You will maintain the domain infrastructure throughout its lifecycle in order to ensure Services are delivered at the required level of availability and performance through pro-active service assurance whilst restoring any part of the domain infrastructure to normal service in a timely, safe and effective manner, including NSX for NFV. You will also provide input to and assist with the introduction of new services and changes to existing infrastructure.


Who are we looking for?  

 

  • Good knowledge of Network Function Virtualisation Infrastructure.
  • Good knowledge of VMWare
  • Operational experience on complex systems.
  • Operational experience of IT/Telecom support.
  • Experience of working on large installations using own initiative.
  • You will need to be eligible for SC clearance to be considered for this vacancy
