Compliance Assurance Manager

Location: Newbury (Full-time remote working during COVID-19)
Salary: Competitive

What will you be doing? 
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for supporting the Senior Compliance Manager with the delivery of a robust compliance framework to meet our regulatory obligations. The Compliance Manager will also promote and drive our culture to deliver good customer outcomes.

 

Key accountabilities include: 

  • Ensure we have a robust compliance framework in place
  • Provide support and guidance to the first line on compliance requirements
  • Manage oversight of first line by means of regular contact, updating of regulatory change, review of MI and escalating issues of concern to the Senior Compliance Manager
  • Support the interrogation of regulatory submissions to identify areas of concern and follow up  
  • Manage the provision of advice and guidance on policies to the first line, including identification of breaches
  • Support the design and delivery of relevant training & competence requirements to all staff
  • Manage and develop the horizon scanning process, including ensuring upcoming regulatory change has 1st line sponsorship
  • Engage regularly with Compliance colleagues to advise on upcoming regulatory change, compliance interpretation changes and policy changes
  • Manage ad hoc projects as required by the Senior Compliance Manager

 


Who are we looking for?  

  • Relevant 2nd line compliance experience
  • Understanding of governance, compliance programmes & risk management
  • Experience in regulated organisations preferable, e.g. FCA, Ofcom, etc. 
  • Strong analytical, written and communication skills, including Microsoft Office tools
  • A willingness to learn, positive outlook, and an appetite to succeed
  • Strong interpersonal skills to ensure successful engagement with colleagues
