Account Manager - Defence Sector

Location: Location Independent (Midlands/South regions) (Full-time remote working during COVID-19) 
Hours: 37.5 Monday - Friday

What will you be doing?  


In this role you will manage and maintain an effective business relationship between Vodafone and the stakeholders of a key customer account. You will be responsible for maintaining existing revenues whilst implementing sales action plans to identify, develop and close incremental new business opportunities. You will ensure high levels of customer engagement measured using relationship net promoter score (rNPS). 
Key responsibilities will include:


  • Providing a high quality of service and ensure your work is completed accurately whilst delivering a great customer service
  • Providing informal guidance and support to new team members as required
  • Understanding the customers industry, customer goals and priorities
  • Creating and implementing a customer specific account strategy and sales action plan in line with Vodafone’s product and service portfolio including Fixed networks, MPN, MEC, IoT, Cloud (IaaS, SaaS UCaaS) and mobile
  • Implementing and managing local contingency plans to address internal/external business issues that impact upon revenue, cost or margin


Who are we looking for?   

  • An individual with experience of selling complex technology solutions into a line of business within the MOD (Medical Services, Transport & Logisitcs etc for example)
  • Sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange complex information
  • Experience of successfully implementing enterprise sales plans achieving significant business revenue growth
  • A strategic thinker who can plan, strategise and execute 
  • Eligible for SC clearance
