Start date: September 2021
Duration of Programme: 2 years
Starting salary: £21,500
Location: This role will be based in Newbury.

About the Apprenticeship

You’ll need to be the kind of person who’s tech-savvy, loves to work at pace and is always looking for innovative ways of solving problems. There will be tight deadlines sometimes, so flexibility and focus are key, but don’t worry, we’ll give you all the support you need to ensure you succeed! As a software developer you’ll get involved in building, testing, and deploying system, features and technologies. You’ll learn how to understand code and software design as you develop your expertise.


After the 24-month programme is complete, you’ll be a well-rounded Software Developer with:


o    Level 4 Software Developer Apprenticeship 
o    BCS Systems Development Essentials (Vendor qualification)
o    BSC Level 4 Certificate in Software Languages

 

 


What you will need

 

  • To be 18 years old or over as of 1 September 2021
  • GCSE English & Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications)  
  • 2 A Levels including ICT or Maths, gained by September 2021 (or equivalent qualifications in similar subjects) 
  • To be eligible to work in the UK and not in full-time education  
  • To have lived in the UK and/or EU for three years or more 
  • You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject (e.g. a degree or masters in a similar subject).
