Level 6 Apprenticeship Network Engineer


Newbury, Wokingham, Hinckley

Start Date: 28th September 2020

On the programme

Vodafone Network Engineers deliver our world-leading global network at the cutting edge - adapting and evolving with changes to new technologies to give our customers the very best digital experience. Join them and you’ll grow future-building skills by getting involved in major communications installations, supporting the engineering and delivery of voice and data services, or helping to monitor the entire network. Whatever you’re involved in, you’ll be working with the technology that keeps people connected across the world. 

With a combination of digital and classroom-based learning, you’ll take modules in Network Design & Troubleshooting, IP-Based Network Switching Systems, Cyber Security and Unified Communications, and more. You’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside industry leaders who’ll share their knowledge with you. And you’ll develop into a Network Engineering expert who can plan, design, build and test networks, identify security risks and troubleshoot problems. 

At the end of the four years, you’ll have a BSc (Hons) Degree in Digital & Technology Solutions, specialising in Network Engineering. 


What you’ll need

•    To be 18 years or over on 1st Sept 2020
•    GCSE English & Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications)
•    2x A Levels including ICT or Maths by Sept 2020
Or, in a similar subject: 
-    A Level 3 Apprenticeship 
-    An International Baccalaureate at Level 3 
-    A BTEC Extended Diploma (180 credits)
•    To be eligible to work in the UK and not be in full-time education 
•    To have lived in the UK and/or EU for 3 years or more


You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
We have opportunities in various locations, so you must be commutable to one of the following locations: Newbury, Wokingham, London or Hinckley.  In return, you can look forward to a salary of £21,500 and a benefits package that includes generous holiday allowance and discounts on your shopping as well as Vodafone products.
