Start date: July 2022 
Programme length: 12 months
Salary: £21,000
Location: All roles are based within the UK. The majority of rotations will be based in our vibrant Newbury or London Paddington campus.
What you need:
•On track for a 2:2 in a STEM BA/BSc/Integrated Masters degree
•You will need to be in your penultimate year of study, i.e. in the third year of a four-year degree
Right to work in the UK for the full year.

*Remote working options: Vodafone is transforming – in the way we work & how we work. Our offices are now used as a hub for collaboration & co-creation spaces. Across most our roles, we expect our employees to follow a blended approach of working with a 60-40 split, the majority being at home. We encourage our employees to find a way of working that suits them & works best for the team.

Technology Programme

Our Tech programme has 3 sub streams, you have the opportunity to influence the area you work by selecting preferences during the application process. We will do our best to match you to the most appropriate role to your skills, capabilities & career aspirations. Choose what is right for you.

1.Software Engineering-Did you know that over the last three years Vodafone has been building a world class software engineering capability, driven by some of the best industry minds! Software Engineering is an every-growing area in Vodafone, one that is critical to driving us forward from building our own unique customer experiences, buying quality solutions & inventing the future of communications. Our engineering teams are empowered to focus not just on what we deliver, but how we deliver world class software that we can all be proud of. 
As part of this sub-stream, you can expect to be gaining skills through a placement in areas ranging from the Internet of Things, Cloud & Automation to Digital Architecture. Here, learning is focused on disciplines such as cloud solutions, networks, Digital customer experiences, portfolios as well as DevOps, CI/CD toolchains, new software lifecycles & agile methodologies.
2.Network Engineering-We’re continually building & enhancing our best ever network that connects millions of people & businesses across the country. As part of this sub-stream, you could be a part of the team that makes the magic happen, bringing gigafast speed & innovation to our customers. The next few years at Vodafone are predicted to be even more thrilling than ever before, as networks become virtualized, predictive, self-adapting, & ever more intelligent. So if you’re blown away by the technology keeping networks connected across different countries 24/7 that enable people & business to change the world, then the network engineering stream is for you! 
Within this sub-stream, you could find yourself learning in a placement within (but not limited to) network operations (fixed, mobile & TV), radio & transmission, technology strategy & architecture, IT operations, cloud & virtualisation while obtaining core learning in the area of network engineering. We have no room for clichés in Networks. Our culture is open for everyone & encourages our people to bring their own approach
3.Big Data, Insights & Analytics-The way our customers use data is as varied as it is complex. So, everything we do to drive Big Data & analytics forward at Vodafone is summed up in our philosophy: think big, start small, scale fast. Working across various teams focused on Big Data, BI, AI & Robotics, using predictive, prescriptive & cognitive analysis to create the impossible through insight & design. From apps to chatbots, AI to IoT, being a part of this sub-stream gives you a chance to explore, experiment on what’s possible. You might find yourself placed in teams including, but not limited to, Big Data Science, Big Data Delivery, Big Data Architecture, Business Intelligence, Technology Shared Services & the Internet of things.
