Role title: Service Management Technical Architect 
Location: Newbury with occasional travel  worldwide based on business need 


Role purpose: 
The Enterprise IT Solutions Architecture department caters to IT/IS needs of vertical business units in Vodafone Group Enterprise that include Vodafone Global Enterprise, Vodafone Carrier Services, Machine-to-Machine / Internet of Things, and Cloud & Hosting Services, each with their own portfolio of products and services, and relevant business functions in Group Technology. The function also builds re-usable assets that cater to the IT/IS needs of Enterprise Business Units in a number of Vodafone Local Markets.
To support key strategic growth areas, Vodafone Business IT are looking to hire a Salesforce Technical architect, with a proven track record to define and govern technical solutions configured and implemented for complex and large digital transformation programme.  
Role & Responsibilities
•    Manage and implement the Service Management technical architectural blueprint, coding standards, leveraging the IT capabilities across the organisation. 
•    Liaise with key stakeholders to determine and prioritise business requirements, transforming business requirements into technical requirements/solution, working with cross functional teams to ensure successful cost-effective project execution
•    Hands-on architect to assist in the delivery of a technical architecture solution around service management with a focus on Service Now. 
•    Stay current on ITSM releases (Service Now focus), new features and product roadmaps, responsible for platform strategy and maintenance, ensuring platform health, scale and performance is at the level required and beyond for business need.
•    The role covers requirements analysis, business case definition, solution design with the domain and architecture leads, vendor and SI selection, solution assurance and acceptance and the control of benefits realisation with the business according to defined KPIs.
•    Assist and advise for best practices, trouble shooting of the platform and applications
•    Facilitate knowledge sharing across wider team.

Job Responsibility

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

•    Proven track record defining and governing complex technical architecture and solution designs in a large Telco environment with ITSM technical knowledge (Service Now/BMC).
•    Demonstrable and recent track record of architecting and delivering ITSM capabilities using standard/Out of the box features using Service Now (focus) or other ITSM vendor, Agile methodology, coding standards, version control, continuous deployment methodologies and industry best practices.
•    Understanding and experience of some or all of the following for ITSM, integration, B2B, Ebonding, AI Ops, ITOM.
•    Capability to analyse complex Business processes, articulate and define complex architectures in a simple way to stakeholders underpinned by a structured analytical approach and high quality architectural artefacts and deliverables.
•    Ability to translate Business Strategy and needs into IT Architecture Artefact for markets; estimate the financial impact of architectural alternatives. Ability to balance short term vs. strategic solutions to cater to conflicting demands.
•    Pragmatic and can do attitude, able to work to delivery timelines and communicate risks and issues clearly to stakeholders as required

•    Service Now certifications
•    Business acumen with solid E2E understanding of Enterprise processes. 
•    TOGAF certification. 
•    Telco Processes and Operations:   Frameworx TM
•    SAFe certifications

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
•    Technology: 5+ years’ experience in an ITSM environment (Service Now, BMC etc)
