Title: Senior Service Delivery Manager 
Location: Newbury 

Senior Delivery Manager Role: 
To lead and manage a team of Solution / Release Train Engineers and Scrum Masters both direct and dotted who are responsible for the global delivery of a range of group products and technical deliveries within the MPN and MEC Portfolio. The role will be the SPOC and face of the practice’s delivery, leading the full extended delivery teams for the practice (including service designers etc). Responsible for management of budget, demand, and roadmap commitments to meet required timescales. This role is accountable for portfolio flow, balance funding allocation, and ensuring dynamic forecasting and prioritisation to optimise time to market for a portfolio.
Working in an agile environment, this role will include ensuring the portfolio is delivered to the agile framework based around SAFe methodology and that it follows the Lean Agile governance processes, working closely with the LPM COE. 


Working with Senior Stakeholders within Line of Business, HR, and Finance to effectively plan and manage the resourcing levels, skills, and resource levels for the practice to suit the product roadmap and priorities.
As a leader it is expected that the Senior Delivery Manager will drive continuous improvement across the team to grow the maturity of agile adoption within the Practice and wider Vodafone. Alongside the continuous improvement agenda this role is responsible for all aspects of line management of the team with particular focus on development. The role will be a true role-model of leadership and delivery across the practice, proactively developing those beyond their team. 
The role will require some travel as the team is located in UK/RO/PT/ES and there will be times when travel is required for meetings with key stakeholders.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

•    Experience of successfully managing complex international projects and programmes within a global matrix / SAFe Agile environment of both internal and external stakeholders
•    Demonstratable experience of leading complex delivery as a STE or equivalent.
•    Detailed understanding of SAFe Agile – with certification.
•    Demonstrable experience of / ability to lead diverse multi-geographic teams of both direct and dotted reports.
•    Detailed experience of Agile Delivery and LPM, including financials.
•    Detailed Technology / Telecommunications background.
•    Business and financial acumen / ability to manage 20m+ budget
•    Experience in and knowledge of MPN / MEC products.
•    Team leadership experience.

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
•    SAFe, PMP, MSP or Prince2 or Formal project / programme management qualifications.
