Title: Senior Manager – Digital First Platform Architecture
Location: Flexible (uk) 


Role purpose: 

The Vodafone Business IT  department caters to IT/IS needs of vertical business units in Vodafone Business that include Vodafone Global Enterprise, Vodafone Carrier Services, Internet of Things, and Cloud & Security, each with their own portfolio of products and services, and relevant business functions in Group Technology. The function also builds re-usable assets that cater to the IT/IS needs of Vodafone Business Units in a number of Vodafone Local Markets. 

To support key strategic growth areas under Vodafone Business Transformation Digital First initiative, Business IT require a highly capable and experienced Architect.

The role will accountable for the architecture across processes, technology and people within the Digital First Programme. This architect will work across all the Operating Companies and Group entities like Vodafone Business Transformation and Group IT Architecture. The chosen candidate should have a good knowledge of web, B2B, mobile and digital technologies. The key responsibility of this role will be optimising the architecture and roadmap for the initiatives within Digital First Programme such as One Portal and ensuring reusability, alignment to global guardrails in order to deliver the business and technology vision.
-    Demonstrable and recent track record of delivering an architecture service on projects that span multi-disciplinary areas across Digital  domains in a large telecommunications IT environments
-    Knowledge and Experience implementing Service Now based architecture.
-    Ability to understand a wide range of disciplines in enough detail to communicate effectively with experts in those areas to enable delivery of E2E solutions designs, including, as examples, network designs, customer relationship management, order management / service provisioning, service assurance processes, billing and general enterprise management functions.
-    Capability to articulate and define complex architectures in a simple way to stakeholders underpinned by a structured analytical approach and high quality architectural artefacts and deliverables.
-    Ability to translate Business Strategy and needs into IT Architecture blueprints for markets; estimate the financial impact of architectural alternatives. Ability to balance short term vs. strategic solutions to cater to conflicting demands.


-    Working knowledge and/or experience of delivering solutions architectures and designs for Enterprise Business Units in telco environments
-    Working knowledge of TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture framework), TM Forum Frameworx (industry specific Process, Application, and Information frameworks), and UML (modelling standard)
-    Experience with E2E modelling tools such as Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect or IBM Rationale System/Software Architect)
-    Experience with managing third parties required to participate in the definition of architectures, ensuring continuity of design with all internal aspects


Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

Educated to degree level and/or relevant technical experience (preferably 15+ years) with a proven track record of defining, describing and maintaining architecture blueprints, roadmaps and design deliverables in the telecommunications industry
