Senior Global Product Manager - Building


Role purpose: 

Be the single person responsible for the vision of the vertical portfolio, and the contact point of all stakeholders. Translates markets/customer needs into clear requirements to scout and select existing solutions from the market. Manages and coordinates the tasks related to the vertical strategy (1,5-3Y) horizon, following a clear and prioritized roadmap of activities. Carries end-to-end (full solutions lifecycle) responsibility for the vertical results and outcomes (owns vertical P&L).


With us you will:

  • Knows and understands the vertical business and its target customers/markets, in order to be able to anticipate the customers’ needs and how they can be mapped in the E2E IoT Solutions Catalogue.
  • Engage with Operating Companies, Vodafone Global Enterprise and Partner Markets to understand their demand for specific type of solutions, market opportunity and revenue potential 
  • Engage with the Centres of Competence to explain the solutions and their desired characteristics
  • Continuously plans and approves the release of solutions in the vertical domain of the IoT E2E solutions Catalogue and communicate this to stakeholders in the business
  • Owns the global solutions commercial playbook (propositions, pricing strategy (not price), channels, etc.)

Apply if you have:

  • Experience of portfolio planning, product management/product marketing, sales or business development of products/solutions that consist of hardware, connectivity, software and service components
  • Experience of Internet of Things solutions in terms of the market, major suppliers, marketplaces, distribution and sales channels
  • Experience of managing products targeted at SME and/or SoHo customers 
  • Understanding of both technical and business related product characteristics and the ability to communicate with persons from both disciplines
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural, virtual work environments
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, presentation, email and social interaction. Ability to communicate in a clear way to commercial, service, sales and product marketing, technology teams and customers
  • Excellent negotiation skills with ability to interact comfortably at department head level
  • Strong decision-making skills – ability to balance conflicting interests
  • Show a drive towards results accomplishment, guiding the team in the same direction
  • Knowledge of the theory of agile methodologies and ability to implement them on an operational level
