Lead Architect Plateform & Infrastructure 

Role purpose:
Vodafone is transforming into a New Generation Telco, an essential stepping-stone to our ultimate ambition to become a Technology Communications Company offering a range of products and services beyond connectivity. As part of the architecture team, the role holder helps VF as a major contributor to achieve this goal in the TV area. He/she designs with the team TV Applications architectures that are delivered across Vodafone Group. She/he manages and guides a team of Infrastructure and platform architects and collaborates with other specialists in the architecture team to create and evolve the infrastructure of the Vodafone Group Global TV Platform. She/he establishes a positive loop to ensure that best technologies and industry trends are incorporated into architectural designs.

Apply if you have:

  • Capture and interpret requirements and design the complex infrastructure to run all services in. Able to provide clear links between business challenges and solutions
  • Accountable for documentation of requirements, specifications and any risks to the platform.
  • Create the infrastructure architecture for the TV services portfolio
  • Create high level implementation, integration and deployment concepts and work with the individual teams to create, deploy and manage their solutions on top
  • Create and maintain deployment guidelines and best practice sharing. 
  • Develop and guide team members and review their achievements 
  • Coordination of tasks within the Platform & Infrastructure Team. 
  • Plan, Manage and follow up all elements of the pd process with the team members 
  • Support team members in technical areas and give technical advice and guidance

With us you will:

  • Experience in cloud native solution delivery and architecture 
  • Experience in Web & App Technologies, Portal, E-commerce and Content Management platforms 
  • Cloud, Mobile and Open Source TechnologyVirtualization and Infrastructure components – Kubernetes, Rancher, Istio, AWS EKS, Google APIGee … 
  • Minimum of 8 years in a technical role in IT with at least 4 years in an architect role with cloud focu


Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Qualified with post graduate professional experience (preferred) Post Graduate Engineering qualifications, preferably with master degree or strong track record within this or similar role AWS Certifications preferred
