Description

The Market Research Specialist has a key role in uncovering powerful consumer insights with qualitative research methods (e.g. focus groups, interviews and online research communities) to help influence and shape the marketing strategy and communications. The Market Research Specialist is responsible for designing, planning and conducting end-to-end qualitative consumer research studies to strategize and evaluate new and current advertising formats. Managing all aspects of qualitative research projects, including writing the discussion guide, recruiting participants, leading moderation for focus groups and interviews, interpreting data and communicating the findings to stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

* Determines qualitative research requirements in line with strategy and plans;

* Defines and champions customer research and supports product areas using insights in the development and delivery of products and services;

* Improves and innovates existing research processes and methodologies, exploring new ways of gathering consumer insights through innovative research tools such as online community panels, remote testing, and conversational research;

* Develops, plans and executes new and existing qualitative (and quantitative) research approaches to gain meaningful insight;

* Facilitates and leads user research, workshops and strategy sessions for consumer insights to gather quantitative research data in order to enhance product and proposition development;

* Presents outputs to internal customers, solving complex problems and clearly conveys information in a compelling manner and promotes the value of analytical work to the business;

* Uncovers actionable insights based on their research and translates this into strategic recommendations that influence key business decisions;

* Presents and socialises research findings and explores new ways of sharing research results and engaging stakeholders;

* Builds strong relations with external stakeholders (e.g. research panels, recruitment agencies, media buying and creative agencies).
