Role purpose

Provide specialist support for Sales systems in IT Service Operations area.

Ensure the performance, productivity and efficiency of Sales systems through daily maintenance of IT infrastructure

Support technical solution design teams, collaborate with suppliers to deliver operational requirements.

Propose service and technical process improvements to ensure delivery of effective IT services.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, will be pro-active and enjoy working in a challenging environment. He/she will be results-oriented, critical thinking and be flexible in their working hours when necessary. The successful candidate will be fluent in written and spoken English


  • Manage control and monitoring performance of retail store systems used by Vodafone:
  • Restore the applications to normal service in a timely, safe and effective mode
  • Maintain applications stack in order to guarantee at least the 99.80% of Services  Level
  • Support the continuous improvement of IT Service Operations processes
  • Manage relationships with suppliers in order to achieve SLAs and improve IT KPIs
  • Must be flexible and able to manage business stakeholders
  • Working on model to transform the waterfall operations processes into Agile Practices
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
  • Background in IT
  • Experience in programming/scripting (C#, Java, Perl, Python, Bash), expertise in Windows, Linux and Unix System Administrator
  • Experience in Data Modelling and database development tools PL/SQL (mainly Oracle and MS SQLServer)
  • Excellent problem-solving and strong aptitude in problems investigation
  • Good knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, learning machine and cognitive solutions applied to IT to support and execute the operations process
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
  • Support and solve issue on production environments.
  • Proactive and reactive service assurance
  • Manage relationships with direct stakeholders: Local OpCos technology teams, Local commercial structures, Local SCM and VPC, Vendors, VSS (Vodafone Shared Service), VCNO (Vodafone Core Network Operation), GDC (Global Data Center)
  • Ensure performance and availability targets
  • Work with sales support and other IT teams to ensure operational kpi, reducing time to market and guarantee excellent customer experience
Must have technical/professional qualifications
  • University degree (Engineering or Computer Science)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience with: C, C++, Java, Java Web Service, UML, Apache
  • Experience with monitoring and data analytics tool like Zabbix, Dynatrace, Appdynaminc, Splunk, ElasticSearch
  • Experience in IT Service Management: Incident, Problem and Change Management processes
  • Pro-active, self-starter and self-organized
