The Finance Transformation and Accounting Operations Manager contributes essentially to achieve the performance targets. It is the responsibility of the role owner to establish a powerful accounting processes transformation programme driving the change and digitalisation of the Italian market and enhance the partner management function with Group Finance Shared Services on behalf of the Italian Market. It requires strong collaboration with and steering of senior key stakeholders on Group, Shared Services and Local Market level. This includes a fundamental reorganisation of its collaboration with its offshored shared service center activities, ruthless automation of repetitive sub-processes, and a holistic datafication of its entire remit.
Furthermore, the role owner monitors and manages the team responsible for the sub ledger activities around the procure to pay ,order to cash and treasury & cash management processes. This includes the responsibility to ensure a sound year and month end closure process in line with all controls requirements as well as local and international accounting standards.

 

Key Accountabilities And Decision Ownership:
• Transformation and Change: Define, set-up, execute and coordinate against plans of strategic initiatives aiming at quality improvement of the local market by automation/cost-reduction across all processes, mitigation of financial and/or reputational risk to Vodafone, and generation of insights through making use of generated but to date unused data.
• Operational performance management: Translate the business requirements into qualitative and quantitative targets for PtP , OTC and TCM for the Italian market.
• Define measures such as performance indicators and all-encompassing dashboards to track progress against them. Shape the performance management framework towards world-class collaboration between service delivery and the local businesses across the footprint.
• Shared Services Partner Manager: Key SPOC and centre from local market, Enterprise and Automotive to manage and coordinate SS related responsibilities as well as acting as focal point to the Albanian service team and its leadership.

 


Key Performance Indicators:
• Delivery of transformation, automation, and operational excellence roadmap in time and budget
• Delivery of sound year/month end closure within WD target as well as set target of KPIs for PtP ,OTC and TCM
• High level of engagement of direct reports

 


Core Competencies, Knowledge And Experience:
• 7+ years recent experience in Telecommunications in a similar Role,
• Strong Accounting background
• Excellent data management / analytics ability. Excellent knowledge of Excel/ Access, experience in using data discovery tools
• Strong business and commercial acumen
• Team Management capabilities, Fluent written and spoken English and Italian
• Ability to work across functional boundaries, with exceptional communication skills to influence change to processes and systems

 

Technical / Professional Qualifications:
• Degree in Economics
