Role Purpose

As a Senior IT Architect you will join the "Digital/IT Strategy & Architecture" Team. Belonging to this team you will work to define and execute the IT Strategy/Enterprise Architecture reporting both at Group and Local level. You will be part of our Digital Transformation journey to become a Global TechCo Company. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology topics in an international environment of talented professionals. 

Key Accountabilities & Responsabilities

-    You will liaise/collaborate with a global team of Architects in building the Architecture / IT Strategy for the Vodafone Group
-    You will contribute to the definition of the Local Target Architecture and Roadmap to implement the Company’s Business Strategy and Objectives
-    You will take care of both Application, Middleware & Infrastructure topics across all Telco Domains (BSS/OSS)
-    You will bridge the IT Strategy and the actual Local IT Execution by: 

  • developing a set of detailed guidelines/architectural patterns to be fulfilled locally In line with Technology strategy
  • blueprinting solutions for local strategic projects enabling then the actual Delivery phases
  • providing architectural consultancy services to all IT Stakeholders across the whole projects lifecycle (from demand to post-delivery maintenance)
  • acting as a facilitator between IT and other Company’s Departments

-    You will maintain a set of Architectural Deliverables/KPIs that express the makeup of the IT programs
-    You will identify opportunities for improvement in any area, whether it be people, process or technology in an ongoing manner 
-    You will be curious by self-assessing emerging industry and technology trends

Must have Technical / Professional qualifications

-    Must have worked on actual e2e delivery projects across multiple domains (BI considered a plus)
-    Having worked as an architect on E2E IT Transformation Programs is considered a plus
-    Comprehensive technical expertise across Telco-IT full stack landscape [Digital, BSS, OSS]
-    Have worked on enterprise architecture engagements defining target architectures, architecture design patterns and transition state architectures
-    Understanding of cloud native architectures and patterns such as AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud, Microservices, event brokers, event driven architectures,…
-    Working knowledge of vendor products over the Application and Middleware layers (infrastructure/technical architecture experience is a plus) 
-    Experienced working with different methodologies: waterfall, agile scrum, SAFe
-    Knowledgeable around TMForum Initiatives (e.g. ODA) and Standards (FrameworkX)
-    Excellent oral & written English knowledge
