The Vodafone Mobile Private Network (MPN) portfolio is a newly established business area that aims to meet the Operation Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) digitization needs of the new and evolving business with mission-critical set up across key verticals such as manufacturing, utilities, Oil & Gas with a need to supporting their strategy to Industry 4.0 and SCM 4.0. This is an exciting and growing area for Vodafone Group and this business area is targeting new addressable revenue with double-digit growth year-on-year. 

The role of DevOps Engineer has the following responsibilities:

  • To manage, implement and support all End-to-End DevOps components, activities and processes for Enterprise MPN Products, platforms and solution
  • Define the DevOps strategy for MPN products
  • Align with Vodafone DevSecOps guidelines
  • Validate all activities and new developments are implemented Vodafone defined guidelines
  • Collaborate and develop relationships with other Devops/technologists by partnering, integrating and sharing
  • Support agile new projects to embed and identify DevOps impacts
  • Continuous evolution towards Infrastructure as a Code through automation scripts and specific tools;
  • Perform evaluation of infra requirements, design and build environments using containers or virtualization in Public or Private Cloud;


What you bring?

  • Understanding of a CI/CD pipeline and microservices concepts;
  • Container management and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes;
  • Scripting (Pyhton, Perl, PowerShell, Bash, etc);
  • Linux fundamentals (LAMP, networking, standard services);
  • Experience in Infrastructure as a Service (e.g. Terraform), Application as a Service (e.g. Puppet, Chef)
  • Understanding of web applications architectures and knowledge of standard Web Servers (Apache, Nginx);
  • Performance monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, APM;
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Exposure to cloud, containers technology (e.g. k8s), virtualization
  • Public Cloud competencies (AWS preferred);
  • Microsoft Azure Edge experience is a plus.
  • Fluent English.
