Principal Category Manager Leased Lines

Vodafone is embarking on a long term strategy to re-define carrier buying globally, the successful candidate will deliver savings and lead ongoing cost management within this multibillion euro spend portfolio. You will be part of an energetic team with whom you will drive the execution of Vodafone’s global strategy for buying and procuring leased lines, fixed line access and wholesale line rental. You will build close and valuable relationships with both Group and local partners, create efficiencies, deliver market leading carrier management and performance improvements across all carrier products
You will
•    Develop acquisition, sourcing strategies and plans enabling the global and local Leased Lines business strategy
•    Build strong Stakeholder relationships, challenge status quo and lead improvements across the end-to-end value chain 
•    Lead Direct Negotiation with Carriers to realise value and savings for the local market and ensure timely execution of negotiations and sourcing strategies meeting targets  
•    Provide relevant inputs into Leased Lines business strategies, roadmaps, plans and budgeting & forecasting process
•    Lead the central negotiation of commercial terms & conditions and contracts with carriers and drive centralisation of Leased Lines spend into VPC while delivering measurable benefits to local markets
•    Drive consolidation and transformation activities across the carrier supply chain and the innovation of commercial and contracting models  
•    Ensure compliance with relevant policies such as the Buying Code, Delegations of Authority and Procure-to-Pay and act as a recognised subject matter expert with Group functions, local markets and external partners

•    Change management mind-set with successfully initiating and implementing major change programs in challenging environments
•    Demonstrable track record of building and leading high performing teams including virtual teams
•    Previously built and scaled up new line of business within a global organisation
You must have…
•    Business Degree or similar and sourcing experience is an absolute must, preferably on a global level
•    A proven track record of successfully negotiating complex multi-territory deals with clearly identified benefits
•    Experience in the telecommunications  industry or a previous role at a major carrier
•    Deep understanding of sourcing and procurement disciplines and strong commercial and negotiation skills
•    Strategic thinking with the ability to influence wider business strategies
•    Solid program and project management skills backed up with experience managing large scale, multi-country and multi-disciplinary projects including operating model transformations
•    Track record of getting stakeholders with diverse interests and background aligned and workingcollaboratively towards common goals
•    Ability to communicate and present with impact both verbally and in writing and effectively influence decision makers at all levels
•   English and German is a must, other languages are an advantage #groupresourcing
